HOW do I get my kid involved?
I can barely get them off the couch!
Start simple. Drop in for an Open Build on Saturdays and Sundays, 12–4. No registration, no project, and no experience required. Just show up, pay the $20 admission, and see what catches their attention. Dig through the materials, try a tool, build something ridiculous, or just hang out and see what’s happening.
If your kid does better with a little more direction, join us for a weekday class, workshop, or special event and dive into something new.
And if there’s something your kid is obsessed with that we don’t offer yet—or you have an idea for a workshop yourself—tell us about it. We’re always looking for new things to make, build, and explore.
No pressure. No right way to do it. Just come see what happens.

Gadgets & Gizmos: A Drop-In Tinkering Session
For kids who’d rather figure out how things work than sit still and listen.
Build, tinker, take apart, and experiment with motors, gears, switches, lights, sensors, and all sorts of wonderfully weird bits. We’ll have the tools and materials—you bring the curiosity. Suggested donation $15
Homeschoolers/no-schoolers welcome. No curriculum. No grades. Just making.

How it all started, The Open Build
A wall of stuff. Piles of cardboard. Bins of odd bits. Tools, tape, fasteners, and tables ready for scraps.
Come with a plan, a half-formed idea, or nothing at all. Dig in, experiment, build, take apart, and try again. Some days are buzzing with wild ideas; others are quiet, focused, and wonderfully weird.
Right now, we’re gearing up for Halloween and our entry in the Festival of Miniatures, so come make something spooky, tiny, strange—or all three.
No booking needed. Just drop in during Open Build hours. Take it home, or add it to the Bin of Possibilities. $15 - stay as long as you'd like.

A series of adult meet-ups for getting out of the house, meeting your neighbors, and making something just for the hell of it.
Each gathering is a little different. Sometimes there’s a project. Sometimes there’s a challenge. Sometimes there’s a drink in your hand and absolutely no idea what you’re doing.
Come solo. Bring a friend. Meet someone new. Make something weird. Have a little fun.
No experience required. Curiosity encouraged.
