Summer Maker Camp is HERE!

Small groups. Big creativity. Endless possibilities.

A full-day summer program where kids ages 6–11 build, invent, experiment, and create together. Each week blends STEM, art, creative problem-solving, and open-ended making in a playful small-group environment built for curious minds, big ideas, and messy thinkers.

Camp runs in 1-week sessions from Monday, June 22 through Friday, August 21.

$295 per child, per week

Additional siblings and additional camp sessions receive a 10% discount.

NEW Summer drop-off (if space is available) $80 full day or $40.00 half day. Email Jonathan if interested.

We never want finances to stand in the way of creativity. If cost is a concern, reach out to Jonathan — we’ll do our best to make camp work for your family.

We’re excited to offer our first full-day Summer Maker Program for 2026!

Our summer program will be a bit more structured and project-focused than our regular drop-in build sessions — while still leaving lots of room for free building, exploration, and creative surprises.

Kids will design, experiment, invent, collaborate, and make cool stuff alongside other makers.

What to expect

Ages: 6–11 years old

Group Size: Limited to just 8 children

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Session Length: 1 week per session

Expect a mix of STEM challenges, art and design projects, cardboard engineering, collaborative builds, creative problem-solving, and plenty of open maker time.

Kids will have opportunities to build independently and work together throughout the week, with lots of free build time woven into each session so ideas can grow, evolve, and occasionally get wonderfully messy.

Our intentionally small group size means more guidance, better access to tools and materials, and more room for big ideas to grow.

Who we are

Jonathan Jackson

Running Corrugated Universe gives me the opportunity to interact with kids and families every day — and those moments continually remind me why we built this space in the first place. Daily Camp Schedule

9:00 Drop-Off

Because our group is small (just 8 campers per session), drop-off should be quick and easy. No need to park — simply pull into the loading zone in front of Corrugated Universe. Jonathan or Julia will be there to greet your child and help them get settled in for the day.

9:30 Group Meet

We’ll gather as a group to talk about the day’s projects, set up teams or partners (depending on the activity), gather materials, and make a plan before diving into building.

10:30 Daily Group Project

Every day features a collaborative project. Some days we’ll launch something entirely new — think castles, forests, space worlds, giant creatures, or imaginative inventions. Other days we’ll continue building and improving projects already underway.

11:30 Snack & Water Break

Fresh fruit from the Co-op and water will be provided daily. Families are welcome to pack any additional snacks or drinks their child may want.

Then it’s back to building.

12:30 Lunch

Lunch is also reflection time. Together we’ll talk about what worked, what didn’t, and how we might improve our designs.

Why didn’t that stay upright?

Could we make a stronger hinge?

How do we build a bridge strong enough to walk across?

Parents/guardians are responsible for packing lunch.

1:30 Discovery Walk

We’ll take a 30–60 minute walk around downtown Brattleboro in search of interesting materials and inspiration for creating.

Stops may include Beadniks for special beads, Wonderland Yarns Dyehouse & Mercantile to explore yarn and color, The Shoe Tree for shoeboxes, or Bobbin & Skein to pick up thread and supplies.

These walks are about more than gathering materials — they’re about gathering life skills. Kids practice talking with local business owners, asking questions, following directions, exploring their community, and discovering inspiration in unexpected places.

Because sometimes the best ideas start with a walk around town.

2:00 Free Build

Armed with treasures and inspiration from our walk, campers can continue existing projects or begin entirely new ones. Free Build is a chance to experiment, problem-solve, collaborate, and follow ideas wherever they lead.

3:00 Pick up

Small group size means easy pick-up, too. No need to park — simply pull into the loading zone in front of Corrugated Universe. Jonathan or Julia will help campers gather their creations and safely head home.

Projects may come home daily, or campers may choose to leave larger builds to continue throughout the week.
